But, to answer your question, Bach-Choi, Delerue's "The Doll" and Newman's "Santa 85" are the ones I most often visit. But the last 20 minutes of "The Mission" are outstanding.

"Amazing Stories" had consistently top-notch scores, but I'm pretty sure "Welcome to My Nightmare" by Bruce Broughton is my favorite.

Funny, I was just listening to Amazing Stories on shuffle yesterday.

So many great episodes! "Ghost Train" is probably my favorite.

Wasn't Ghost Train the Pilot Episode?

Yep.

What? Wasn't THE MISSION the pilot episode?

By the way, my opinion from a few years ago still stands: Delerue's "Dorothy & Ben" remains my favourite.

Nope. THE GHOST TRAIN was the first episode shown.
I think THE MISSION was a double length episode?

Damn. I always thought "The Mission" was the one. Thanks for the clarification!

Btw, I've also found it amusing that Williams wrote TWO things called "The Mission" in 1985 -- the AMAZING STORIES episode and the main NBC theme. One year before Morricone wrote his THE MISSION. smile

+1 here, for "Dorothy & Ben" my favorite from the show, though lots of competition for the top spot

ALAMO JOBE

...too bad it is far too short (just under 11 minutes) - but one of James Horner's greatest works!
