Yes, I'm sick, officer. Sick from the disease eating away at me inside. Sick of people who don't appreciate their blessings. Sick of those who scoff at the suffering of others. I'm sick of it all!

my fav!

Jerry Goldsmith - The Vanishing - "Where's Jeff?" at 1.04. Wavering strings at their creepiest.

Bedhead said it for me. Salter strings could be eerie but lyrical (moonlight in FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLF MAN, recorded in ice cave sequence on HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN cd) or just plain lyrical (climax of INVISIBLE MAN RETURNS, reprised w/added violin obligato in climax of SON OF DRACULA).

Always loved chamber-music-like score by Morton Stevens for "Pigeons From Hell" on THRILLER! TV series -- though the capper was the haunting vocalise overlay.

The part where the words "help me" appear on Regan's stomach.
"Night Of The Electric Insects"? I could be wrong on the title.

Lalo Schifrin's string dominated score to The Amityville Horror is genius string writing! Same goes for Amityville II, especially one long sequence which follows one man walking around the haunted house. A big holy grail for me!

You just reminded me of another excellent piece. Schifrin's bit for the "unused" Exorcist trailer. That long, drawn-out descending gliss... VERY effective.
