The Liner notes for the new Varese deluxe
edition of North's 'Agony and the Ecstasy'
state that there are two missing cues:
Twelve Apostles (3M1) and Marble (1M3).
Can anyone tell me if the Goldsmith Re-recording on Varese includes these bits?
The titles are different on the Goldsmith
rendition indicating possible combinations
of cues, etc. Thanks.

I really don't think so. But watch the movie, not a great lot is really missing; in other words the music is ok; think the score as presented by Varese is a true classic.
Best
Alex

One of the best bits in the score that hasn't made it to any of the CDs is that awesome growling sustain when the camera makes its first glide across the Sistine Chapel ceiling.

Very few of the Deluxe remaining at Varese - fewer than 25.

another question about this score that I have asked here many timesl.

WHERE was it recorded. Is that the Fox Orchestra in Hollywood, or was it recorded in Italy?

Rather belatedly, can't find it at Varese, or SAE. Where art Michaelangelo?

I just compared the film to the Varese dvd and there were more than four pieces missing.
All of the missing pieces can be lifted from the surround track.

I have a separate question relating to this score.
Is there any noticeable sound difference between Goldsmith's 'Artist Who Did Not Want To Paint' as heard on the Jerry G Fox Box and the Alex North film score Deluxe Edition release?
Thanks in advance smile
