Abril wasn´t the greatest composer on earth and maybe this score is no masterpiece.

But when I was child this score frightened me to dead. I wondered that this score was never available on CD. I would love to have this in my collection.

Any other comments?

He is also a fine classical composer. His Hemeroscopium (Concerto for Orchestra) is excellent.

Yes I found many of his classical works on the internet.

But the released score of him are of lesser interest.

Only just noticed this in YouTube:

Unsure if this clip yields any indication of a future album production for a La noche del terror ciego (Tombs of the Blind Dead) soundtrack or not, but this verifies that recording elements exist.

Here are further YT clips on Abril's music for Spanish horror:

The Return of the Evil Dead (1973)

Horror of the Zombies (1974)

Night of the Seagulls (1975)

[Incidently, Mr. Abril (born 1933) is still with us]

Posted here by Quartet Records in 2013:

"Sadly, but most of the tapes from Spanish films of the 60/70 and even 80 are lost and destroyed... Any of "Blind Dead" films do not exist. Sorry."

I am currently watching all these amazing 70's Spanish Horror films that I have in my collection and while watching the Blind Dead movies I thought that maybe a re-recording project of the 4 scores along with LORELEY'S GRASP might be an idea ?

@ Quartet. Maybe as a Kickstarter ?
