Here is Roger's Quote from 2016 about Outlaw:

"And Malpaso has always been great to work with. If it were simple, it would have been out already."

Sounds like at least this Malpaso scoree will be released by Intrada in the future.


SAE must not have been too put off by whatever complications Roger was referencing when it released the CD I am happy to have of THE OUTLAW JOSEY WALES, back in the 90s sometime... It is seemingly pretty complete and sounds fine. Not sure if the tapes came from Fielding's estate or where.

THE GAUNTLET features an unstructured jazz jam for a score (reportedly as per Eastwood's orders), bearing little or no relation to anything happening on the screen, and is just dreadful to my poor ears. The film imo was not one of Eastwood's better efforts, but then many of them were not.


Dana is right about both!
