Sometimes, a film doesn't necessarily have to have 'snow and evergreen scent' to make them special for you during the holidays. 'Auntie Mame', and 'Since You Went Away' tend to make me think of Christmas, I don't know why. What films will you be looking forward to viewing this holiday?
For me: 'The Bishop's Wife', 'Edward Scissorhands' and especially the French film, 'Joyeux Noel'.

Where eagles dare (snow)

Die Hard, though there is an ongoing debate as to whether or not this is a true Christmas film between everyone who made the film it seems.
I don't see it as a "Christmas Holiday" film but it does has that Christmas tone and feel to it of course as it does happen on Christmas Eve.

Holiday Inn
The Bishop's Wife
It's a Wonderful Life
Home Alone
Christmas in Connecticut
Miracle on 34th Street ( both film versions )
Meet Me in St. Louis
Anything else I can squeeze in between work, shopping and wrapping. My brother and I compete each year to see who can watch the most titles before the 25th.

Good selection - but I’d expect no less.

Definite: Scrooged
Likely: Muppets Christmas Carol
Possible: Anything

Christmas Carol - George C Scott
Christmas Carol - animated Zemeckis
Christmas Carol - Mickey Mouse
Miracle on 34th St, original ( I tried watching the remake, it does not do it for me)

Arthur Christmas - (really good)
Elf (But I think it is not as good as it's reputation)

I'd like to catch "A Christmas Story" every year, but it just doesn't work out for various reasons. I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned it yet.

My daughter and I like to watch White Christmas. I used to watch it every year as a kid myself and transmitted the same feeling to her. She's 27 and I'm 57. Whether or not we do it this year is another matter. She likes lots of other Christmas films I couldn't care less about, and I watched another favourite last Monday evening at my monthly Sons of the Desert meeting.

It was of course Babes in Toyland IN COLOUR from the Legend dvd. Lovely We started with The Fixer Uppers short where Stan and Ollie are doing door-to-door greetings cards selling.

Both films were stellar and enjoyed by all. Beware of the Bogeymen!

I know all the best classics mentioned above will be rotating on a regular basis from the cable channels. My family are not into movie watching as I am. So I try to watch the "different" Christmas picks, (or really bad ones the critics have rated). This year, Ernest Saves Christmas, Jingle all the Way, and Ron Howard's How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Die Hard, like every year. Also, Laurel and Hardy's Babes In Toyland and the romantic comedy Love Actually... smile

Each one of these I own on disc. And that is how I watch them this time of year.

SCROOGE (1970) The Albert Finney Musical Classic.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL (1984) The George C Scott Classic.

THE HOMECOMING A CHRISTMAS STORY (1971) The Patricia Neal / Richard Thomas Classic. The pilot TV movie that spawned the successful "The Waltons" series.

ALL IS BRIGHT (2013) Paul Giamatti and Paul Rudd. This film has built a cult following. Not a Classic. Yet. But for those who have ever worked at a Christmas tree lot at some point in their lives and dealt with the various characters of the general public that drift through these places during the month of December this film connects. Equally quirky are the two leads in the film. Worth a watch if you have not yet seen it. Giamatti is among the best actors working today.

A MIDNIGHT CLEAR (1992) Another offbeat choice to be sure, but every year around Christmas time it gets a spin. A powerful film that always makes me think.

Help me get into...christmas films.

You forgot to mention that you've never seen a Christmas film you liked and that you don't like Christmas in any way, shape or form.

But in answer to your query: Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence. Come for David Bowie, stay for Ryuichi Sakamoto's stunning music. Pair with Bowie and Bing's Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy duet.

Or watch Reindeer Games with a six-pack of beer if that's more your speed.

If I understood the original post the OP is asking what non Christmas movies do you watch during the holidays because they have a christmassy feel. For me it would be The Secret of NIMH. The Rats lair is lit up with Christmas lights, there's tin toys as decorations, and the guards look like toy soldiers from the Nutcracker.
