HOTEL MUMBAI---trailer released for the movie about the terrorist attack on the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in 2008.

HALLOWEEN---Jamie Lee Curtis commented on rumors of another sequel, "I have no idea at this point, today, I have no idea. I would make an assumption that if David Gordon Green has a story to tell, that the people involved with the movie would encourage him to tell it. [Laughs] I haven’t been told whether or not he has a story to tell and whether or not he would include Laurie Strode in the telling. Really, time will tell. I know David is a busy guy."
She added, "I’d be happy to do it, sure. This was an extraordinary experience. David was a fantastic director, writer, but obviously this 2018, 40th anniversary, was Laurie’s story, and obviously, there are now other people’s stories that would need to get told. But Laurie’s story was told beautifully this year, and I would have no way of knowing how they would incorporate her into future."
STAR TREK---producer Alex Kurtzman commented on the CBS All Access Jean-Luc Picard tv series, “It’s an extremely different rhythm than DISCOVERY. DISCOVERY is a bullet. Picard is a very contemplative show. It will find a balance between the speed of DISCOVERY and the nature of what NEXT GEN was, but I believe it will have its own rhythm."
He added, “Without revealing too much about it, people have so many questions about Picard and what happened to him, and the idea we get to take time to answer those questions in the wake of the many, many things he’s had to deal with in NEXT GEN is really exciting. ‘More grounded’ is not the right way to put it, because Season 2 of DISCOVERY is also grounded. It will feel more… real-world? If that’s the right way to put it."
THE GUILTY---Jake Gyllenhaal stars in this US remake of the Danish movie about a demoted cop who is assigned to the emergency call center where he receives a call from a kidnapped woman pleading for help.
BLACK AND BLUE---Naomie Harris (SKYFALL) stars in this movie about a rookie New Orleans cop who is pursued by fellow cops after her body cam records them murdering a drug dealer.
THE TOXIC AVENGER---Legendary Pictures remake of the 1984 movie is underway.
47 METERS DOWN: UNCAGED---Nia Long, Sophie Nelisse (daughter of Sylvester Stallone) and Corinne Foxx (daughter of Jamie Foxx) star in the sequel in which five women explore underground caves in Brazil and encounter deadly sharks.
DUKE NUKEM---live-action movie underway based on the video game.
AUDREY HEPBURN---tv series underway based on the "formative years" of the legendary actress. The writers are Hepburn's son, Luca Dotti, and Luigi Spinola, who wrote the book AUDREY AT HOME.
WOMAN AT WAR---Jodie Foster is the star/director of this US remake of the Icelandic movie about a teacher/environmental terrorist who must choose between her environmental activism or adopting a baby.
STRANGE TIME---TBS tv series underway based on the graphic novel.
GORILLA AND THE BIRD---HBO miniseries underway based on the novel. Jean-Marc Vallee (SHARP OBJECTS) is the director.
TRIVIA---in BAND OF BROTHERS, Tom Hanks was the director and had a cameo as a British soldier in the episode "Crossroads" (this is the first in a series).
