Does the pressed CD actually exist or is it the same case as Yellowstone? Announced, advertised and never actually released?
I ordered it from Amazon.ca - and my copy should be arriving any day now. I'll share photos once I get it. I haven't heard any of the score yet, but I love Danna's work. It was a good price too, only $9.38CDN. now out of stock except for third party sellers.
I really liked this score when I viewed the movie. With snare drums, there are times that the music sounds like a march. She and others certainly march into controversial issues and situations. The music that indicates time passing is wonderful. Gentle, soft music captures the emotional underpinnings of her relationship with her husband, and Danna also composed triumphal music.
As promised here are images of my CD. It's the CD-R version, but looks like it's the only version on CD that we're going to get. For my $10CAD, I think it's worth every penny. It's a lovely score, and the quality of the CD booklet etc is great.
I still haven't picked up Danna's Breadwinner on CD, it seems it's only a CD-R as well. There are some signed copies on eBay.com going for a great price if you live in the USA. Shipping on them to Canada is too much for me.
