Not that any of you care, but I got a reply from Doug about this, and he said that this is the first time he's heard of this. Of course we care. Do you care what we say? Several of us gave you serious replies but you didn't respond. Such as, did you try it on other equipment? And it is good to hear what Doug said since I was worried it might be happening to other copies. I didn't mean that to sound the way it did.... I've been having a shitty day, and it just got worse; turns out Hurricane Michael damaged my roof more than my landlord thought it did, and it's leaking pretty bad... and it's a NEW ROOF(two years old).

Unless the rain is damaging your belongings, it's your landlord's problem. Of course it means he'll raise your rent, if he doesnt already "guarantee" to do that annually (like my last one, grrrr). I'm still hoping your CD issue was the equipment, but I imagine you've played other discs in your player by now and they play fine...?

Well... a landlord CAN'T raise a person's rent because of the roof leaking. Actually, he and his father-in-law are the ones who put the new roof on, and when I mean "new roof", I mean they replaced EVERYTHING... the ceiling, the "A" frames... everything, so HE is the one at fault for not insuring that they put the roof on well enough that it wouldn't leak. Anyway.... Yeah, I played the CD on multiple players, and it still makes the scratchy/pulsating noise, so it's the CD. Still... I could've SWORN that when that CD was first released, people were saying THEY were hearing this noise as well..... guess not.

Something else I failed to mention.... when I just put the CD in and it starts to play, the overture/main title just keeps cutting in and out, like someone is instantaneously turning the volume up and down. I guess I'm the only person out of the THOUSANDS who bought this CD whose copy fucked up. EDIT... As I was getting ready to close out Windows Media Player, I happened to notice a tiny "x" to the left of the "overture/main title" title. I hovered over it and this came up: "Windows Media Player encountered an error. Click the icon for more information", so I just now clicked on it, but it WON'T GIVE ME any more information. I've never seen this before.

Landlords usually pass along the cost of repairs, increased taxes, etc. by raising the rent. In my state, they can only do it annually and only a certain percent, but they still do it. My last landlord "guaranteed" he'd always raise the rent every year because it was his only income as well. I've read negative reviews on Amazon of a made-on-demand cdr version, either of this title or one of the other Waterhouse/Intrada titles.
