...I'm hearing HORRIBLE scratchy, pulsing distortion on that track.... is it inherent in the recording, or is my copy going bad? It's also on track 18....and 19(I'm listening to the CD as I type this)!

I just checked. Mine seems to be okay.

It sounds fine. You can also hear this recording, with no distortion, on Spotify and Amazon Music.

Now I'm really worried! I thought that I had read that there WAS a problem with the CD.

Do you perhaps have a link? There's a few versions on there so it's difficult to ID the correct one.

Just checked my Intrada CD, and there's no distortion to be heard on those tracks.

So either his equipment or his copy has a problem. I hope it's not "cd rot" that's going to eventually effect the entire run of this release.

It's no doubt divine punishment for all of your damned clickbait threads.

To be fair, the board doesn't allow long's titles in topics.

Not that any of you care, but I got a reply from Doug about this, and he said that this is the first time he's heard of this. Unfortunately, North By Northwest sold out a long time ago, and the score has now become the property of Warner Brother's "digital" catalog, so bottom line is I'm shit out of luck. frown

Of course we care. Do you care what we say? Several of us gave you serious replies but you didn't respond. Such as, did you try it on other equipment? And it is good to hear what Doug said since I was worried it might be happening to other copies.
