Ok so how many of you had the crap scared out of you watching whatever you watched?!
And how many of you remembered your mum saying "Dont be frightened, its just a film"?

If you're not going to a Party and just staying home, are you planning on watching any particular film this Halloween? I know Halloween isn't followed in Britain, (not really), and forget about Norway, but if you're viewing anything significant this October 31'st, care to share?

Actually, there were quite a few Norwegian kids running around in costumes yesterday evening. Nothing compared to the US, obviously, but this tradition is far more popular in Norway now than when I was a kid. Damn those US imports! big grin

I didn't have any candy in the house, so I'm thankful no one stopped by. Personally, I turned off the lights in my apartment and binged most of the second season of DAREDEVIL on Netflix. Nothing horrorey about that, really, but then again I'm not into Halloween. I watch horror all through the year, even in the sweltering heat of summer.

Despite several houses in our neighborhood having Halloween decorations, there were only about a dozen kids who came by La Casa de Phelps.

This makes me wonder if Halloween is primarily fondly remembered by those in Generation X and older. Ironically, those same parents probably forbid their children from trick or treating, unless it's under the strictest paranoiac supervision, like at malls and parties.

As for Dave's topic, I ended up watching two S2 TWILIGHT ZONE episodes:

"Nervous Man in a Four Dollar Room"
"A Thing About Machines"

Parents don't let their kids do anything unsupervised.
Pathetic.

E.T. ' s Halloween or Meet Me in St. Louis show how it usec to be. frown

2023.

I'm not sure if I will watch one or the other, or both.
They are two nearly-perfect films.
I actually have to work up some courage for watching even just one of them.
