Amidst the typical (but a little more in-depth) biography/process topics are a great opening bumper with everyone goofing off, Elfman mentioning his favorite recent horror scores, his fessing up to the Wendy Carlos homage in DARK SHADOWS, and at just after the 1hr 11 min mark, he mentions a new concert work likely to debut in 2019 scored for “chamber orchestra, 12-16 female singers, two percussion, two electric guitars, bass and drum”. Like, what were his favourite recent horror scores and is he still talking to Bridget Fonda or is the relationship open and such like? The roster of unreleased Elfman concert works is getting longer and longer. It is? Other than the Overeager Overture, the Violin Concerto is the only other thing not recorded and it’s forthcoming.
