So will JONES be back?

Nope. But someone very good is working on it.

Joel McNeely? big grin Please don't tell me it's one of the few composers getting ALL the franchise gigs nowadays.

This whole thing is a surprise to me. The movie was in equal parts impressive and disappointing but with a terrific score. Looking forward to this in all respects.

Netflix has it scheduled for 2019. Muppets weren't built in a day.

Well, I can't wait that long! Jeez, it's like waiting for Disney's streaming service.

Not familiar with the composer so went to YouTube. Three tracks into King Arthur legend of the Sword left me dramatized. What GARBAGE.

You picked the wrong score; one of his noisiest and least accessible...even Pemberton fans complained about it at the time. Man from UNCLE on the other hand is a total delight! Better in film context but I think you may still enjoy:

But I think Samuel Sim you will like even better. His score for the Emma miniseries is lovely (released by MovieScore Media), and even better is Home Fires:

So yeah...I love Jones, and I love McNeely...but I’m quite happy about this news.

I appreciate your efforts in winning me over but the first cue wasn't much better. Just a generic mishmash of electronics and percussion. Still feels like the music is assaulting my eardrums.
The second cue is pretty enough but doesn't really resonate.

I don't know... this sounds pretty inspired to me and as one of the very few actually original and iconic scores of last decade. Perhaps you should listen more carefully.

Wait what did I just watch? King Arthur or Beastmaster?

Still not winning me over. Hopefully these composers will do something completely different, and or in the spirit of the original score and surprise me. Will wait and see...

Solo fiddle ostinato in first part of scene (nice melody) and traditional use of ostinato strings (IMHO nothing iconicsmile) in second half of scene. I think this based on any other RCP action music scenario (not blame composer) - Ritchie works before with HZ.
I can imagine that based on provided clips fans of Jones score could be little bit nervous smile

Had I to pick up a track from KING ARTHUR, this would probably be this one:

or possibly this one:

I just like that rhythmic frenzy! Pemberton is a truly impressive musician, by far the best one of the new generation, in my opinion. But don't expect him to write in a very old-fashioned way. He did this in a couple of scores but they are far less interesting and challenging than KING ARTHUR or THE MAN FROM UNCLE.
