Always loved the Back Cover Art on THE SHOES OF THE FISHERMAN so much better than the front that they chose. What a beautiful Poster the Back Art made! So glad FSM's Brilliant 2 CD Release switched them, but still gave you both choices.

What LP (or CD) Soundtrack Back Cover Artwork do you like better than what they chose for the front? Please share. Thanks.

Yes, FSM does give us the choice. And check out my cool Spanish One-Sheet in the background folded to feature the part with my fave art from LAS SANDALIAS DEL PESCADOR! I wish there was a One-Sheet of just that art too, just featuring the beautiful painting of all the characters.

The Empire Strikes Back double-LP, which used the beautiful painted poster art for the film on the back, rather than a generic looking picture of Darth Vader's head just floating in space used on the front....

This was going to be mine too. I hope that when the day (hopefully) arrives that we get the scores in complete, properly remastered form (with alternates in their own section) the key art is used for their covers.

For FSM's Heavy Metal I much prefer the Taarna artwork....

...over the original LP artwork.

Yes, I totally agree with you jenk and Nich! That painting artwork is gorgeous! Floating heads are so overrated.

I remember seeing this Movie Themes Compilation LP on ebay and thinking that the art might have made a pretty cool PAPILLON Soundtrack LP cover. Even though the image of Hoffman in the hat doesn't look that much like Hoffman in the movie. Almost more like Al Pacino in Serpico. Oh, well.

Funny though because I love the "floating head" illustration on the back of the Star Wars LP. I imagine this is where they got the idea for the Empire cover.

Me too. Only the "photograph" version on the Empire cover looks cheap. For some reason, paintings look "classier"...
