Excellent. Have always enjoyed these collections.
Remember getting the first two quite early on in my collecting days. They were very expensive - not in themselves but they led to me getting quite a lot of the titles sampled on them.

Have picked up every set since so will also be picking this one up as well

looks like it will be a 40 year collection. I was hoping it would only contain new tracks released since the last edition.

I'm in. Just hope they don't duplicate music from the other four compilations. That would just be silly.

Also hoping for some tracks from their Club releases.

So this is coming probably pretty soon.

Anyone have any other predications on Varese stuff for the rest of the year?

I have a strong feeling that Dracula might be coming - but who cares about my feelings, right?

From Twitter:

Excited to announce our @VareseSarabande: 40 Years of Great Music" collection is coming! 2CD set will have 45 tracks, 2xLP will have 24 tracks & the digital will have 41 tracks. Later this week, we'll be announcing exclusive deluxe packaging that includes more than just the ??!

Deluxe Packaging - I'm hoping it's more in line with the mini-CD to LP boxes.

Why will the digital version have LESS tracks than the CD? That's goofy.

Not goofy at all actually. Like any other label, Varese doesn't have digital rights on every single title.

"The Avengers" from Intrada and "Cobra Kai" from LLL did that.

Yes, I know that! Just seemed weird for a compilation to be shorter digitally.

Will Varèse be selling these at the Scotland concerts?

Interesting choices on disc one - maybe I should get into The Secret Garden and A Little Princess and My Left Foot, if Varese is always so rock hard about them.
