Is it the original score? On Chi Mai it says, "Ennio Morricone Composer Arranger; I Solisti e Orchestre del Cinema Italiano, Performer" Which makes it look suspiciously like a cover version to me. They were responsible for the "Dollars" trilogy a few years ago.

The Dollars Trilogy was hit and miss, some of their covers were excellent, some were, to be polite, rubbish. But, they did at least make the entire scores available, even if they aren't perfect. You've got to give them credit for that.

Listening to the YouTube clip linked in the first post in this thread, it sounds like there is some wonderful, vintage Morricone music in this score... and that it is performed using samples, which is such a shame because I don't think I can bring myself to buy that, much though I would like to hear the music. Anyone know why the original recording has not been released?

You would think him being such a huge star in italy that every rai tv score would get a release as standard but many dont. Im surprised the maestro himself doesnt do a deal in the first place where the music gets a CD.

I'm not familiar with the TV series or the score and I know this is a rerecording but listening to samples it sounds pretty good to me so I've picked up the lossless download, just £10 at 7-digital..... If the original tracks are ever released, I'll also be a buyer
