How about the Alien franchise?

Alien (Jerry Goldsmith)
Aliens (James Horner)
Alien3 (Elliot Goldenthal)
Alien Resurrection (John Frizzell)

Also the Alien & Predator crossover movies:

Alien Vs Predator (Harald Kloser)
Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (Brian Tyler)

...and the other Predator films:

Predators (John Debney)
The Predator (Henry Jackman) (admittedly not yet released at time of posting)

The article is focused on composers who score more than one film in a series which is why your examples aren't included.

Well, you should include PROMETHEUS and ALIEN: COVENANT too. But yeah -- still different composers, although the HGW theme appears in both movies (as does the Goldsmith music, of course).

What about

Children Of The Corn (1984 Jonathan Elias)
Children Of The Corn (2009 Jonathan Elias & Nathaniel Morgan)
although the 2009 is more of a remake than a sequel.

Sniper 1 & 2 (Gary Chang, although Zimmer & Mancina also did some stuff for the first)

What The Bleep Do We Know & What The Bleep: Down The Rabbit Hole (Chris Franke)

Ah, fair enough, my bad! I clearly didn't read the opening text carefully enough... interesting list though!

Robert Folk scored the whole of the Police Academy series.

Also, Lalo Schifrin didn't score The Enforcer (Jerry Fielding) but did score Sudden Impact.

did some extensive research on ifukube once for a concert program of his kaiju music and found this exhaustive filmography if it's helpful:

Thanks for catching those. Those are exactly the kind of corrections I'm looking for.

Enforcer/Sudden Impact was just sloppiness on my part, I should know better.

I was working mostly from lists of currently working composers and lists of deceased composers, so Robert Folk got caught in the middle. (I almost forgot Brad Fiedel for the same reason)

I'm going down the direct-to-video or made-for-cable wormhole.

Theatrical features only.

Nice work Scott, but the Godzilla film series is THE longest one in movie history with masses of material to mine.

Sorry, that should be I'm NOT going down that wormhole.

And everyone is free to post additional such entries in this thread; I just won't be adding them to the column

HAHAHAHA!!!! Thanks. By the way, Ifukube also scored the 1972 stage play adaptation of the first Zatoichi film. Obviously, I didn't include it as it's a play, not a film.

Your welcome. I'm guessing that the CD to look for would be VPCD-81186? Off a hunting am I.

That album is a start. If possible, try to track down the three Zatoichi Musical Journey albums. They feature music from every Zatoichi film except the 26th film. The score to the stage play adaptation has also been released on CD.
