THOR---Chris Hemsworth commented on the movies, “The first one is good, the second one is meh. What masculinity was, the classic archetype – it just all starts to feel very familiar. I was so aware that we were right on the edge.”

MR. ROBOT---Christian Slater said Season 4 will probably be the last season, “[Creator Sam Esmail] always said it was going to be somewhere in that zone, and he didn’t want to go further than what he could creatively contribute to that storyline. So, I think that Season four will be it. I think they’re in the writers’ room, as we speak, putting it all together, but I have no idea what it’s gonna be, or if I’m gonna be floating in and out of scenes. I have no idea, so we’ll see what happens.”
Rami Malek added, “He’s always said maybe four or five, and that is still pending in his head. I’ll tell you that I’m sure the studio would love to see it go for as long as it could, but he’s restrained. He’s got a story to tell, so I’m all for whatever he wants to do."

BROTHER'S KEEPER---Laurence Fishburne and Milo Gibson, son of Mel Gibson, star in this movie based on the book about the underdog Abilene High School football team that the Texas state championship in 2009.

GOTHAM---Mutant Leader will reportedly appear in Season 5, the last season.

GLOW---Netflix renewed the series for Season 3.

Here's some news for tomorrow:

Danny Boyle left Bond 25 due to "creative differences."

I’m no expert on archaic grammar, but “Thou shall...” sounds rubbish. “Thou shalt” (putting both words at least in the same century) is arguable in any case, as “shall” belongs with the first person pronouns (I and we), and not the second or third persons.

Not that it’s a big deal smile

THEY SHALL NOT GROW OLD
Looking forward to this. Fascinating technology, important history. A worthy pursuit.

THOR
I hope this doesn't mean a de-masculinization is in the offing... Thor, being a Norse God, is kind of aptly hostage to such a perspective.

CORDAY
"Miss October, 1958 in PLAYBOY."

Only one?

(blink blinketty blink)

Dragon53, I find I must register, with the full esteemed weight of a parliamentary fist, my profound, sincere, and heartfelt objection to such abject paucity.

Cough.

THEY SHALL NOT GROW OLD-

This is a worthy project. Few would want to watch this old footage without some kind of technical enhancement. It becomes a chore to view old, grainy, poorly lit documentary footage for very long. Surely this is a better use of digital technology than creating one more CGI-laced fantasy film.

The one time an actual filmmaking genius is referenced in one of dragon53's news items--that would be Charlie Chaplin--and it's Peter Hackson denigrating him and the era.

I don't think it's "improving" history....I think it's about introducing history in a relevant way to a new audience. The CGI audience. I actually think it's an interesting idea. I think there is some...disconnect...when watching old, grainy black and white footage. I agree with Peter's comment about regaining humanity.

Was Hackson's remake of KING KONG an "improvement" over the 1933 film? Nope. Maybe over the Jessica Lange one...(though not musically)

As was yours, sir, as was yours.

I was interested in the youtube interview and the examples shown (although the subtitles couldn't cope with Jackson's accent - eg "slept" became "slipped"). But as for the exercise overall, why not?

I wonder if we'll see some of this turning up in future films about the war in the same way as both black & white and colour news footage showed up in countless silver age films.
