Hi henry! I haven't gotten any of the NECA figures except the original Alien zenomorph, which was, if I recall, extremely fragile.

I do however collect the Star Wars Black Series (in some instances), and since you mentioned Target, they have an exclusive Gamorrean Guard out now. Just thought I"d throw that in there, since no one else has added anything so far... smile

EDIT:

Also at Target, I recently saw some brand new MEGO 8-inch figures, if you can believe that!! I thought MEGO had been defunct for decades. These were Star Trek, Happy Days, Charlie's Angels, The Brady Bunch, etc. --- all characters/figures I'm not sure I had ever seen before. (Except for "Fonzie".) The others were things like The Facts of Life and a Jimi Hendrix figure. Weird. Since I don't collect MEGOs, I didn't get any of them, but I thought I'd mention that too, since Target and action figures were in the topic....

These are all new figures that just came out under the Mego classic brand. It's a retro what if Mego made these in the 70's kinda thing.

Interesting. Thanks, Solium. I was wondering why they put out Sulu and Chekov of all characters, but no Kirk, Spock and McCoy (at least not on single cards, although they did release a display-type Mirror, Mirror boxed set two-pack of Kirk and Spock). And Alice from The Brady Bunch, but no Mike and Carol, etc.!!!

Here's the article I read:

Marty Abrams’ influential toy company – Mego Corporation – is returning to store shelves with new 8-inch figures, 14-inch figures, and 8-inch figure 2-pack dioramas. This Target e xclusive line of Mego collectibles will be available in stores and online July 29 at prices ranging from $14.99 to $29.99.

Licensed figures on display at San Diego Comic-Con included Sulu from Star Trek, Harley Quinn from DC, rock legend Jimi Hendrix, Tootie from The Facts of Life, an I Dream of Jeannie 2-pack, and more. (Norm from Cheers, Joe Namath ) The focus of the figures looks to be retro nostalgia, bringing back a time when Mego ruled the toy industry. Will that still hold true today? Target sales will tell soon enough, but I extend a big hats off to Marty for at least making the effort.
