I sure wish “web series” meant “Netflix” and “a couple of years ago” meant “2017”, because then this would be the astounding score to DARK by Ben Frost, but alas, no. (*single tear drop*)

Well...by the number of entries of this blog...this intrada august release doesnt seem to be a release of much interest I guess
Of course not. It's not an expansion of a previously-released score from a name composer that everyone simply must have every damn note of!
Admittedly, it's also probably a lower-tier Band score done on synthesizers that sound at least twenty years outdated, so I supposed the disinterest might be somewhat warranted in this case... I guess we'll see.
I like Richard Band and have a stronger tolerance (if not outright fondness) for cheesy syth than most health specialists would recommend, but I wouldn't really refer to him as a master of horror even at his best.
I dunno Kasey, have you heard HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW, MUTANT, THE ALCHEMIST? These are pretty stellar works with fantastic themes. The first two have BIG, beefy horror/action writing that, even if they're beholden to a few temp track-issues, still demonstrate a real knack with big symphonic writing. MUTANT especially outshines its accompanying toxic waste zombie opus of a film to an almost parodical degree.
