JOE 1956: When I turn my pc on and click on the desktop Firefox icon, sometimes it takes almost a minute for the Firefox page to fully appear and sometimes I get, "Mozilla Firefox seems slow to start. Learn how to speed it up"......that is, refresh Firefox." at the bottom of the page. Also, when I enter Youtube's website (before I view any videos), I get the "A page is slowing down your browser. What do you want to do?" at the top of the page. Also, my dom.max was set at 10, not 20 (I accidentally looked at the dom.max for chrome which was 20). It's now set at 20, so I'll wait and see if it solves the problems. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but it was because of a little test I'm running. Yesterday I changed that setting to 600, and there's been no ill effects whatsoever. Try that and see if it helps. Use that program I mentioned earlier and back up your stuff first (which needs doing regardless). This may not fix the problem, but hopefully will at least delay it. (Firefox has been historically slow to load. Version 60 has sped things up, but since it's best "feature" is to FUBAR all the themes and extensions you've settled in with, I went back to 52.9.0 ESR. Loading speed is also faster if you're running 64 bit).
