Well, it's not like she didn't want that video out there. Celebrities, politicians, athletes, etc., have 24/7/365 access to say whatever they like and get mega-media coverage. Twitter and others provide the same for the common folk, I guess. As others have said before it's not can you say it, but should you say it. When I see this sort of thing, I recall Roger Waters' lyrics to "Two Suns in the Sunset": "The rusty wire that holds the cork that keeps the anger in..." Seems many folks nowadays vent their anger and rage for all to see, d*mn the consequences. I wonder what people will think when they see videos of themselves doing this type of thing, or tweets or Facebook posts 30, 40 years from now.

A public meltdown like this is both sad and amusing at the same time, depending on one's perspective. But what goes through my head is, WTF is wrong with this person? https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=68&v=JNrteSAu5ys Since the interviewer was taunting her and openly laughing at her until she fell into rage, it's seems clear she was lured into that studio on false pretenses. They must have told her she'd get a chance to be heard, and then, come the sit-down, she's ignored and taunted relentlessly. Roseanne's offending tweet was in the worst taste, about as bad as it gets, and she had to be intoxicated when she sent it, but people are being ruined today for much less. This essay on the current online shaming culture is a real eye-opener: https://quillette.com/2018/07/14/i-was-the-mob-until-the-mob-came-for-me/ You don't have to go to Roseanne's extreme to be targeted nowadays. To be clear, she pretty much had to be fired from her particular job, a national TV show.

Shes an adult and responsible for her own actions. I hardly feel sympathy for her. Her nastiness finally caught up to her. I understand why she's distraught, most of her kind think they're bullet proof.

People like you have really found the courage of your convictions in these times, haven't they? You'll all lose eventually - consumed by your own bile if for no other reason. History teaches us this. Exactly! That's what this is about: https://quillette.com/2018/07/14/i-was-the-mob-until-the-mob-came-for-me/ And again, I'm not defending Roseanne. She had to be fired.
