Did Michael Small score this scene in his rejected score, released by INTRADA?

I have seen and heard this clip several times...

It is pretty good...

China Syndrome is a Good Movie, but needed Jerry Goldsmith..to give that extra tension.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to afford to get it, so I can't answer that, but I would bet he did!

Jim, you might want to fix the spelling in the subject line - you've got an extra "i" in China.

By the way, I love that there is no music in The China Syndrome, even though I enjoy the Small score and love the idea of Goldsmith scoring it. But then, I'm the odd film music fan who never minds when music isn't in a movie. Honestly, too many movies have too much music. But then that's led to lots of great albums for me to listen to, so I'm not complaining.

Riveting film, and some of my favorite actors. I don't care for the faux music however. And I'm also in the camp, I usually don't mind an un-scored film. Ignorance is bliss I guess!

Perhaps a few carefully placed stingers could have hidden Michael Douglas' repeated mispronunciation of the word, "nuclear".

INTRADA still has some Sample Cues of Michael Small's rejected score for THE CHINA SYNDROME up to hear. The "Meltdown" Cue is pretty cool. Click on TRACK LIST at the following link to hear the Sample Cues. Enjoy!

Meh, still glad they did without a score.
