It is on disc 3, it is by Fred Steiner. It is from "I, Mudd" or "Mudd's Women." I don't have the disc here. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I guess I don't understand the term: What is Killer Easy / Exotica.

I felt like I had to turn in my nerd card when I realized that I never knew that Starship Exeter used this theme for their main titles.

Definition of killer:

Bad ass

adjective
very good, excellent, impressive; "cool"; "awesome"

I guess I don't understand the term: What is Killer Easy / Exotica.

"Easy" refers to the genre of music labeled easy listening.
"Exotica" refers to a genre of music which blends tribal percussion & non-Caucasian/non-English 'tropical' aspects with the mid-20th-century pop music sensibilities of the white male establishment (frequently relying upon imagery of female pulchritude on display to allure the customer). This last-mentioned aspect is no doubt the rationale why Fred Steiner wrote this cue for "Mudd's Women": sexy wimmin fer da dudes! big grin

OnyaBirri is known to abbreviate at the expense of the IT-geek's comprehension.
He'll simply type the name "Ella" for Ella Fitzgerald, without bothering to type her surname, and expect the FSM population to read his mind and know to whom he is referring. smile

It is also very telling that Onya likes this source music track more so than Fred Steiner's actual incidental music to support the program's story.

More like "Generic Dance" track like below, but dressed up to sound "futuristic." But it does incorporate the episode theme (typical of scored episodes for older TVseries) so isn't just a source cue.

Steiner's re-recording in stereo is also good:

That sure rings a bell. I saw one of those episodes a long time ago. I remember noticing it, and scouring the end credits but finding no acknowledgment.
