Hal Jepsen "A sea for Yourself" (2CD/LP+DVD) with music mainly by Dennis Dragon, great variety of tracks from funk to psychedelic, a gem if you like this music.(1973)
George Greenough film "The Innermost Limits of Pure Fun" (CD or LP) music by group Farm (Mainly Dennis Dragon) from 1970. Excellent psych-lounge music.
Generous samples at Sundazed website.
Am not advertising for Sundazed, yet when hear something I find great like to share.

In 2008, Sundazed released a compilation CD called "Cycle Breed" that contains music from the films:

Teenage Rebellion
Devil's Angels
The Wild Racers
The Wild Angels
The Golden Breed
The Hellcats
The Glory Stompers
The Angry Breed
Maryjane, and
Wild In The Streets

by the composers:

Mike Curb
Davie Allan
Pierre Vassiliu
Jerry Styner
Harley Hatcher
Larry Brown
Les Baxter

Some of the tracks come from the Tower, Sidewalk, and Curb Records soundtracks for the listed films. Other tracks had been previously unreleased. But with all that available material, the CD runs a scant 35 minutes.

Agree with assesment Bob. However a more complete compilation would be the 2CD/ 2LP "Devil's Rumble" with tracks performed by Davie Allan & Arrows from those films and assorted albums also reissued by Sundazed. An excellent overview of the band and movies they collaborated.
Most of those produced by Mike Curb could be made onto 2/3 albums on 1 CD compilations but Curb likes to release individually for maximum $$$ I guess.
Anyway they are excellent tracks IMHO for anyone enjoys fuzz guitars, etc..

Sundazed also reissued all three surf/hot rod albums by Mr. Gasser and the Weirdos, who are greater than and more important than the Beatles.

I second the recommendation for "The Innermost Limits of Pure Fun"! When you say "surf" and "music," people usually think of guitar combos like the Ventures, but that's not what this soundtrack is. A favorite track from that album is "Outeriff."

Farm - "Outeriff"

I'm not familiar with the "A Sea For Yourself" soundtrack, so I will have to check that one out. Thanks!

Well , you know musical tastes vary immensely . Mr Gasser & Weirdos had it's fans, just like Weird Al has his fans.
As example "The Driving Stupid" album is not that bad for a comedy act.
Tolerance is a wonderful thing.

I was pleasantly surprised as well by this one.
May I suggest "Follow Me" by Stu Phillips that is more orchestral and wonderful. His compilation " Surf..Sex and Cycle Psychos" has all the non sung tracks. The CD of "Follow Me" from Japan is quite expensive so this one is a nice alternative. Hope is still available.
Happy listening
Alex

I also have this album by the Silly Surfers. It was a tie-in with the model series, made by Beach Boys alums Gary Usher and Roger Christian.

Looks like "Devil's Rumble" is a good collection, and there is no overlap with what's on "Cycle Breed." The two CDs on "Devil's Rumble" run 38:40 and 44:47, a little better than "Cycle Breed."
