WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20

STAR TREK---Patrick Stewart, Alex Kurtzman and Akiva Goldsman are developing a new TREK series with Stewart returning as Jean-Luc Picard. The series is part of a new deal in which Kurtzman will expand the CBS STAR TREK franchise including tv series, miniseries and animated series.





TERMINATOR 6---photo shows a battle-scarred Mackenzie Davis on the set.





THE WITCHES---Robert Zemeckis (FORREST GUMP) is in negotiations to direct the movie based on the Roald Dahl novel.

QUEEN AND COUNTRY---Sylvia Hoeks (BLADE RUNNER 2049) is the top candidate to star in the Ridley Scott movie based on the comic book about a female MI6 agent tracking down an international terrorist.

ECHO---George Clooney is in talks to direct the 20th Century Fox sci fi movie about a drone specialist who suspects his lover may be have been replaced.

INVINCIBLE---Amazon animated tv series underway based on the Robert Kirkman comic book.

JETT---Giancarlo Esposito (BREAKING BAD) will play a crime lord in the Cinemax tv series starring Carla Gugino as an ex-con who is forced to return to her profession by crime bosses.

THE NANNY---Fran Drescher hinted a revival of her sitcom may be underway. THE NANNY ran on CBS from 1993-199.

TRIVIA---composer Jerry Goldsmith has a cameo as a band leader in IN HARM'S WAY (John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, Patricia Neal).

Liz Eddington (Barbara Bouchet) does an overly-provocative dance at the naval officers' pool party.





Lieutenant (JG) Mac McConnell (Tom Tryon) asks the bandleader (Goldsmith) to slow the music down to slow Liz down.

All I can think of are all the television series I liked which got canned after half a season, and this is what we get in return.

Trek, Patrick Stewart - Yes. Oh yes.

They can give Patrick Stewart a captains chair to sit and read lines and I will watch it.

All I can think of are all the television series I liked which got canned after half a season, and this is what we get in return.


I wasn't a huge fan of Firefly - its a fun distraction at best - but with all these reboots and renews and reattempts, why haven't they gone for the most obvious one on the list? Heck, just make it a limited series like X-Files.

Who is composing CREED II? I really liked Ludwig Goransson's score for CREED. No one is listed in the IMDB.

No official word yet, but a guy who's worked on at least three films Ludwig has done, is credited in the Music Department section, so it wouldn't surprise me if Ludwig is scoring the sequel.
