STAR WARS: EPISODE IX---a reliable source says Billy Dee Williams is returning as Lando Calrissian in the sequel trilogy finale. Williams recently started a three-day per week intensive training program which led to speculation he was returning to the franchise.

THE WALKING DEAD---Jon Bernthal was confirmed to be returning for at least one episode in Season 9, most likely in a flashback or hallucination.

WONDER WOMAN 1984---a source said Chris Pine is playing "the real Steve Trevor", not someone in disguise. The source added that Pedro Pascal is playing "a God in disguise".

1917---Sam Mendes (SKYFALL) will direct this World War I movie with Steven Spielberg as the producer. No plot details were released, but two important World War I events occurred in 1917: the US entered the war and the Russian Revolution.

JUMANJI 3---Dwayne Johnson tweeted about the sequel, "THE JUMANJI SEQUEL is officially underway."

SICARIO 3---Emily Blunt is in talks to return for the second sequel.

THE JOKER---Robert De Niro is reportedly being sought for a co-starring role with Joaquin Phoenix in the young Joker movie.

GOTTI---John Travolta commented on his John Gotti mobster biomovie getting a zero rating on Rotten Tomatoes by saying critics are, "trolls behind keyboards".

EUROVISION---Will Ferrell stars in this musical comedy movie based on The Eurovision Song Contest talent competition. Previous winners include ABBA and Celine Dion.

SUPERGIRL---Chris Wood (Mon-El) is not returning as a regular cast member, but might return as a guest star.

IRON TERRY MALONE---comedy movie underway about a mobster who tries to save his favorite bar by teaming up with the bar's owner and their buddies to kill the town drunk.
Holt McCallany, Vincent Pastore and Steven Van Zandt star.

SAMMY DAVIS, JR.---Paramount Pictures biomovie underway based on his memoir YES I CAN: THE STORY OF SAMMY DAVIS, JR..

MARVIN GAYE---biomovie underway with Dr. Dre as the producer.

TRIVIA--in THE TWILIGHT ZONE episode "Little Girl Lost", Tina was played by Tracy Stratford, but Stratford's voice was dubbed by 32 year-old Rhoda Williams. Ironically, Stratford provided the voice for Lucy in A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS, the first PEANUTS animated tv special.

Was I the only one who didn't like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle? It was funny at times, but fell into the same traps as many movies coming out today by being formulaic as all get out, lacking any real sense of danger, and spoon-feeding the audience answers to questions they've already answered for themselves.

I was surprised howich I liked it (I must have been in a good mood) but had very low expectations. That said, I wouldn't intentionally watch it again.

I didn't like the original (which I finally caught up with a few months ago) or the sequel...both overproduced, F/X-crammed junk with no heart, wit or cleverness. Aside from Karen Gillan in her short-shorts, the sequel was a total wash.

I saw JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE for the first time last week. It was a huge hit for Sony, so I expected a lot, but I was disappointed. It was just another kids movie with lots of CGI.

Not the kind of film I would find funny or entertaining, other than the eye candy (Karen Gillan), but at least the wardrobe controversy didn't tank the film.
