Splitting California would only serve to consolidate the Left's power there: smaller margins needed to hold onto a smaller state, the same number of representatives, still left-leaning, and a high-powered economy that flies in the face of the current administration's nationalist dogmatic stupidity.
In terms of representation, it would only serve to destroy the GOP's grip on the nation in the long term. This is also the second attempt to get it on the ballot by the same guy, who's a blowhard corporate entity. I don't see this going anywhere, save illegally.
