For the studios that expect that more of the same will always bring a result, there is folly in that. We want to continue, for example, with our X-MEN movies and our DEADPOOL movies, but at the same time we have great success with a movie like MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS or THE GREATEST SHOWMAN, where we are very mindful of speaking to this global audience, but not doing it in a way that in the past has homogenized all of the product. Where things fall off the cliff is when that bright consumer says, ‘I have seen this movie.’”

PEOPLE OF EDEN---TBS cancelled the series.

TRIVIA---more James Bond movie trivia.
THE ASSASSINATION BUREAU cast included five actors who also appeared in James Bond movies.

That is a tighter The Predator trailer (better), with a mediocre-fit song (not bad), but I still can't say I know where this film lies.

I do want to see it, in order to know. Not the best instigation for movie-going (!), but if it gets me to the theater I guess its succeeded already to some degree.

As for First Man, I`m willing to give them this one... we kind of know the story already, so the film may just be a minorly illuminating pleasantry. Looks good. I wonder if they need to focus on lesser-known true stories though. Allen Dulles's treason with Nazi intelligence officers towards the end of WWII would be a good start... and his manipulative exploits with James Angleton thereafter would be illuminating. Though not feel-good'ish. smile frown

Hollywood will never go there.
The only time they did, JFK, the whole propaganda apparatus of the shadow government came down on them.
THE DEVIL'S CHESSBOARD by Mark Talbot would make a great, if depressing, mini-series.
Brm

p.s BRIDGE OF SPIES totally whitewashed Dulles' scheming around the U-2 program
