Here's a big culprit for me.

Not sure what the point is - just put a "Wanted" ad in the Trading forum instead, or look on used cd stores.

I think you're right. This was covered I think in the "Grail" topic.

Sorry, admins, feel free to delete, please.

Wow...I had no idea...that's a shame. It feels like we just finished this? I know the labels do the best they can—it can be a nightmare to over-press and be sitting on tons of inventory.

Cheapest I found was via Discogs $54 + shipping from UK
https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/8372614

This kind of thread seems like another excuse for a bitchfest, but whatever. There's lots of overpriced rarities out there, usually sold by our fellow soundtrack fans. Posting your wish list might encourage them, not shame them.

Suggestion, for a few years down the line: maybe a budget box set reissue of *all* the Rozsa Paramount stuff, once it's all been sold out for a bit? Sort of a counterpart to the Rozsa at MGM Treasury (though I know much of that wasn't previously released, at least not legally).

Here's what I am still kicking myself for missing out on while I was a poor student:

OUCH. frown

Right now, the SUPERMAN IV set from LLL. Not necessarily because the CD itself is priced crazy, but because the shipping is.

Same here for me but Alien 3. I think it works out about £45 all in. Damn shame!

Lodge your complaint to USPS.

Fortunately, I have most of the officially released titles I want. One title that comes to mind is Elmer Bernstein's "Gold". Then again I can live without it very well wink

Yes, sorry, I should have specified -- it wasn't a complain lodged at LLL, but against postal rates in general. It seems difficult to find a US vendor that ships a CD for less than $15 these days.

Jerry Goldsmith's MACARTHUR and RAGGEDY MAN. Not sure I can think of any existent CDs I really, really want other than those two.

Macarthur! I forgot to mention that in the rerecording thread.

I've been very fortunate the past couple of years being afflicted with "OSD" Obsessive Soundtracking Disorder that I've been able to track down some crazy priced ones for reasonable prices. Like Dory, the mantra is more along the lines of "Just keep searching".

This year's success was Giacchino's Tomorrowland CD for about 25 UK pounds.

Last year was Jeremy Soule's Guild Wars 2 4 CD set for $100 AUD.

Very good job, there. I still can't believe that Tomorrowland and John Carter are so hard to get ahold of.
