Do ya think Disney have a special magical algorithm that can create songs that turn into earworms that wrap around your brain and never let go? The grandkids were watching this the other day and I swear to JW, the song melodies have been bouncing around my bonce ever since. I'm gonna have to buy the CD now, which includes a 5 minute score suite. Will this never end
I think it's real good - same with the songs from Frozen, and the song from the short Frozen Fever (which I think you can only buy download-only).
Moana also has very good songs. Other recent-ish Disney movie musicals (Tangled, The Princess and the Frog) left me kind of cold, at least on the music front.
The Ballad of Flemmingrad has been in my head for 4 days straight now and it's one of the weaker songs!! Moana is great, but I found it harder to memorise cos I couldn't understand most of the words Still, if I need some upbeat musical songs and score, Disney are my go to providers.
They did a FROZEN Broadway musical and I saw the CD in HMV the other day. The same songwriting team from the film, with some brand new songs added. I noticed Dave Metzger was all over the album. Anyone heard it?
