Army of Darkness was the first film score i ever bought and it's amazing.

I love LoDuca's work on the Evil Dead trilogy, and even though i only have a couple more of his scores, i'm always interested when i hear he's done something.

Bad Samaritan doesn't look like a film i'll ever get round to watching but i just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the score.

Can anyone verify if this release is in a jewel case?

It comes in a file folder. Hope that helps.

Questions, better to actually go directly to them and email them varesesarabande@naxosusa.com. Also if you are on Facebook you would have noticed on April 27th they posted a photo of the Bad Samaritan CD which was housed IN a CD case. Also I don't believe Varese releases new movie soundtracks to new films in digipacks. All future questions about anything can be sent here varesesarabande@naxosusa.com.

I will not contact Naxos, they do not know what they are doing. Yes, I saw the picture on Facebook, but who says that was the final product. Is this not the place to have general discussions about releases? I do not buy items as soon as they are released. I wait until I have read about each release and if I have a question I ask it here. I believe that should not be an issue here since others might want to know the response to the question, from whoever is WILLING to answer it. Buy the way, I have ordered this from Amazon, which had 5 sellers selling it for less than Varese's site and I do not have to deal with Naxos.

And why should Varese/Naxos want the same questions over and over again, typing up personnel's time? How about answering it publically once, that way each person can see the answer.

They don't know what they are doing? I have received multiple packages from them with no issues at all. You stated in another thread that you have NEVER ordered directly from Varese, so it sounds to me like you just enjoy bashing them for no reason what so ever since you have no experience with them. Not sure why you're bitching about something you have no first hand knowledge of...

So jedizim, you have never read anything on here bad about Naxos other than from me?
Yes, I have not ordered directly from them and I never will with what I have read on here.
That is enough for me to go by, feedback is everything.

I just said I have had multiple packages from them delivered with NO problem what so ever. 99% of the time, the 1 person who had a bad experience bitches the loudest. You don't hear from the people who have had good experiences with a company, BECAUSE IT IS EXPECTED. That is why you only hear the bitchers, the moaners, the complainers. Listening to the 1% of people who have had problems is like basing every person on this board by looking at Shaun Rutherford and saying "everyone here must be just like him"... It is just stupid.

The CD with jewel case was posted on April 27th on Varese’s socials. If you order this from someone on Earth and receive anything other than a CD jewel case, I’d complain to the seller you bought it from. If any company posts a picture that appears to be a CD jewel case and then the buyer receives a digipack, I'd inquire to the company you bought it from directly and ask why this is a digipack and not a CD especially since said company posted an image that appeared to be a CD jewel case. Questions about releases etc. can be directed to the email above via Naxos. Since you have never bought from Varese nor have had any experiences good or bad with Naxos or Varese it seems it would be tricky to have a solid opinion about them since you haven’t ordered from them. You have no first hand knowledge good or bad. As jedizim mentioned, with the amount of orders Naxos ships from Varese, probably in the hundreds and thousands, the issues that have come up have been solid issues that should be brought up, but the hundreds upon hundreds if not thousands of orders that have shipped with no complaint or issues should also be taken into consideration. Since you do not buy directly from Varese and even before Naxos shipped their products you never bought from Varese and you don't mind paying more money on each Club release from other venders. Even if Naxos had ZERO complaints it appears you still would not have ever bought directly from Varese/Naxos. If you have had issues from ordering from Varese and or shipping issues by all means bring them up as you should. As mentioned above and somone else can chime in, newer film scores being released from Varese have always been in CD jewel cases unless they were a digital only album. Someone else can confirm this. Also, you know this as any CD you have from Varese outside of the box sets which are not in jewel cases sometimes, have ALL been in jewel cases. You know this for a fact. If you have bene collecting and buying for as long as you say, you know that. All future questions can be sent to Naxos so they can help you out.

Drivingmissdaisy, I had a simple question and you "get your panties in a bunch." You are Varese's PR on here, if you do not answer it someone else usually does, that is why I will still post the questions here in the future. Sorry if that pisses you off.

Here's hoping that all future CDs are released in digipaks only.

No hard feelings, happy to help when I can. Ask away in the future, that's what this great forum is for, always happy to help when I can smile

Hope you pick up the CD Bad Samaritan by Mr. LoDuca, some really cool stuff in there.

Varese posted two tracks on their SoundCloud account if you want to listen to two whole tracks:
