This one's been getting a lot of play time from me.

I'm really enjoying Courage's take on March of the Villains, and the Nuclear Man theme is quite the ear worm.

This one's a winner.

Mike M said he made some few adjustments - which one ?

The answer is in this very topic, Marcato, few pages earlier:

"Mike, you said:
"I did fix some very, very, very minor things, but overall I was very happy with how this was done in 2008, beautifully mastered by Doug Schwartz."

However, MV said before you earlier in the thread:
"Superman IV, according to album producer Mike Matessino, was perfect as is and didn't need to be messed with"

So, what did happen?

You are addressing two different things. MV's comment refers to the overall program and mixing and mastering. In other words, there's no reason to re-buy it solely for a sonic or content upgrade because there was no reason to go back and remix, reassemble, re-sequence or remaster. But as I had to make a new DDP for delivery I took the opportunity to listen and make some, as I said, "very, very, very minor" fixes. A tick or two painted out and a cleaned-up ending here and there, that kind of thing. And that's it. Now, if anyone who was passing on it feels that makes it worthy of a re-buy, then by all means go ahead. This was dusting the floor, not installing a new one. Hope that clarifies.

Mike M.

The implication was any differences between this and the FSM were so subtle to the point of irrelevance.

Inadvertently stumbled across this being available to stream on Google Play Music this evening. It's the new LLL edition--cover art and all. The only difference is that the Fishman tracks are missing.

Anyway, I'm on the last track now, and...I just don't get it. The Nuclear Man Theme is OK, and Lacy's Theme is definitely an easy-to-listen-to jazzy number. But on the whole, this score (to me personally) is all over the place! At times, it's suspenseful. At times, it's heroic. But most of the time, it's way too whimsical and carnival-like. The best comparison that comes to mind is the kind of tonal shifts found in Goldsmith's GREMLINS 2--but that music had visuals to complement and match that.

I guess I'm just not hearing and/or getting why this score is held in such high regard. 100% no sarcasm or snark here, but can someone clue me in on why this one is such a big deal?

It's available for download via Amazon Music, too (and free if you've got Amazon Music Unlimited) https://amzn.to/2uxpryW

Noticed that too. In fact, quite a few LLL albums are: Friday the 13th (Google but not Amazon), Friday the 13th Parts 2 and 3, Cliffhanger, Cutthroat Island, Airplane, Creepshow, a bunch of the Star Trek TOS volumes, and several others.

I listen through Google Play simply because I have the family streaming plan.

Also Goldsmith's Link, Dragonslayer, Black Sunday, Sunset Boulevard and a couple of the first (and it seems only) batch of Paramount titles are still available. Unfortunately Ghost and the Darkness, Breakfast at Tiffany's and Hatari were taken down shortly after the announcement - possibly (my own speculation) because Intrada wasn't happy. Fortunately I purchased GatD before it was removed smile

Which is odd because Intrada has made the single disc BACK TO THE FUTURE, double disc BACK TO THE FUTURE PART 2, and WARLOCK available digitally. :/
