Jed Kurzel.

It's called "Overlord".

Gentlemen, start your bitching engines!

No bitching required.

An excellent choice! His ALIEN: COVENANT was one of my favourite scores last year, and I've pretty much been impressed with everything he's done so far.

Oh, a good laugh every once in a while from the internet.

I like what I have heard from him so far. Alien: Covenant was a great score. Will give it a chance instead of complaining about it.

Justin, you are a perpetual fountain of negativity.

Not the slightest bit surprised to see you start a thread by calling for negativity...and then be the very first person in your very own thread to start up with the negativity (condescendingly and sarcastically making fun of someone else's opinion other than your own, no less).

No class.

I promise to feel really bad about it for you. Honestly -- there may be tears.

Loved his scores for Macbeth, Assassin's Creed, and Alien: Covenant. Excited for this.

Away from the film, I did like the score to Alien Covenant. I also bought MacBeth after i heard his Alien music. I rather like that score, too. It's good to put on if you're writing or drawing. I haven't heard Assassin's Creed and most likely never will. I'll not be "blind buying" this Cloverfield score but will definitely check out samples when it's done. Has a chance to be decent.

Why do you have to be such a dick to everyone all the time? Threads like this remind me why I never get involved in the conversations here, or at Main Titles, any more. You and people like you are the main reasons.

I really liked Assassin's Creed when I heard it for the first time when watching the movie on HBO. Really like how much the pulsing music Kurzel wrote drove the action.

Another fan of Alien Covenant here. Hated the film but I can happily listen to the cd and often do. I liked his Macbeth score and also The Babadook which is a very creepy listening experience. I look forward to what he’ll bring to Cloverfield.

Jon,

You probably don't remember any of this, but I have a friend that has a film music blog. He used to post links to his articles and reviews on Filmtracks.

You were a real dick to him because he didn't sign his name on his blog posts. And now he no longer posts links.

You even called me a 'panty-bunch' for standing up for him, and intimated that we were the same person because our IP addresses were in the same state.

I just wanted you to know that neither of us has forgotten that. Please keep in mind that you are also guilty of negativity and bullying, even if it isn't as prevalent as others.

If one single post with a salty tongue in cheek comment caused all that, I don't know what to say. I still stand by my view that reviewers who don't sign their work are less likely to be successful - as I said at the time: "Don't you think it's nice to know a little about the person giving their opinion? Knowing who they are, what framed their opinion, and what their film music history is, gives weight and depth to their thought process and allows me to fully appreciate what they're trying to say."

Clearly, David Victor agreed with me, because his name is on the site now.

Also, it wasn't me who intimated that you were the same person because your IP addresses were in the same state. That was someone called "Orange Thrush" who I do not know.

My posting history -- open to anybody who wants to go through it -- begs to differ.

You are entitled to you own opinions, but not your own facts.

I realize because of your status in the community, no one has any reason to believe me, as before, when people in that thread made allegations about us being the same person. I'm sorry I was wrong about you being the one to bring that up, but I did feel bullied by your name-calling. You can simply dismiss it as tongue-in-cheek when it comes from you, but the effect was the same. I just wanted you to know.

Allow me to recommend a replacement for all of Justin Boggan's posts in this thread:

Guys! The Cloverfield movies are about how we all have to come together in peace and harmony! Why are we fighting?

(I'm guessing that's what they must be about. I've never seen one.)
