For our uk residents im deducing edw has gambled on an airline? Or some kind of holiday company that handles all your requirements? Her destination remains a mystery.

Two of my best friends - now a middle-aged married couple (how time flies) spend about eight months a year travelling. Just last month they finished a six-month holiday travelling around Spain, staying for about a month or six weeks in different places. I visited them in Seville and Valencia, and the properties looked fine, even exceptional, although they mentioned that in one or two places they'd been, the "safety" aspect didn't seem as strict as it perhaps should have been (multiple plugs in electrical sockets, cables across the floor etc). Still, they loved it and are doing it again, all via Airbnb, starting in the summer. Good luck with your Airbnb experience, ed. I would be surprised if the health and safety inspections were lax anywhere. Don't they need a license? Maybe my friends stayed in a few bootleg Airbnbs...

One of our extended family members has a flat in Greenwich on Airbnb and makes an absolute mint on it. The swine. Oh tidy, i bet they do. I love Greenwich. Was going out with a girl who lived there for a year. It's certainly better than Charlton. Shudder.
