So, people have been waiting for complete-score releases of AOTC and ROTS, they go to all the trouble of reconstructing the music just to release a 10 track OST? Then what was the point of going to all the trouble???
To say that these could've been all-new complete score releases with the highest sound quality is a definite missed opportunity.
Indeed a complete waste of time and effort. Can someone please tell my why there has not been a complete release of AOTC and ROTS and corrected full release of APM?
The fan reaction/backlash over the Ultimate Edition of Phantom Menace seemingly killed the prospect of any prequel expanded sets. Lukas told a great story about explaining to a record exec why folks were complaining about the UE and what they really wanted and the reply was something like "to hell with those guys".
So they are out of bounds forever? Why not let Intrada release them?

Well that was back when Sony had the license, even if the same decision makers are there it doesn’t matter as Disney now owns them and are making the decisions. Plus times are different now. Disney and Lucasfilm are well aware of the desire for complete releases of Star Wars. Either there is a reason they won’t/can’t release them, or there is a plan and these releases are part of it.
