Thanks for blurting out a negative response to a question you weren't asked. Okay, that's fair. I deserved that for unnecessarily raining on your parade and not letting James answer that for himself. But it did surprise me that you thought James would consider that when he's repeatedly nixed things that are less obscure. But I should've kept my mouth shut, obviously, and I apologize to you. But I shouldn't have suggested it. I didn't realize you'd been elected to decide which Goldsmith scores get recorded and to "prioritize" their recording funds. I don't, and I haven't. Didn't mean to indicate that I did, and I don't have the money to fund these things myself, obviously. But I did wonder why it was a priority for you, personally, when this was literally the only one of Goldsmith's many TV western works which has received a release. I guess it's just your favorite? If so, good on ya -- I love it too and if someone did decided to fund a new recording I'd buy it. I'd just rather get good music that doesn't exist in any other form, if possible, and I admit I do have trouble understanding folks who don't share that opinion. A classical producer who loves Mendelssohn has $40,000 to spend on a new recording...now over half of Mendelssohn's *surviving* works have never been recorded even once (and I have no reason to believe that's because of a lack of quality). If they decide to spend that money on a new recording of his Symphony No. 3, when there are already dozens of great recordings of that piece...that to me is a waste, instead of uncovering some lost hidden gem. But I guess most people feel otherwise. Yavar Ben Hur is quite possibly my favorite score by anybody, but I think it's covered for some years now. We have the BH Complete Collection, mighty Tadlow, and quite a few other performances. I'd go crazy to see the Jungle Book redone, Double Life...aw heck Yavar you know what I want lol!

I have both Tadlow Thriller recordings now. I still have not listened to any of them yet, but maybe this weekend I manage to rest in my hammock with my headphones and give at least Volume 1 a good listen. :-)

Received mine today and it's pretty much totally Excellent as expected. Superb job by all at Tadlow. Just missing a "Tad" (pun intended) of WEIRD TAILOR which is at the beginning of my youtube post below. I play it twice, cause I love it so much. Wish it was included somehow. But I am greatly pleased with THRILLER VOL. II!!! James Fitz and Leigh and Nic and Orchestra, you are all awesome. Please include the individual names of the wonderful orchestra players on Vol. III. They surely earned a well deserved credit!!!! Thank you all for your always superb work! Now here's that Tad of Tailor I was missing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P54KN-Pl2MU Oooh yes ...Why this section of the score is missing ??? :'( Neither of the Thriller albums were really designed with completeness in mind......unfortunately, there'll always be a few musical "casualties" when decisions have to be made as to what to (and, more painfully, what not to) include.
