Hello,

In the past Kritzerland issued several re-mastered Capitol/EMI albums. Is Capitol's music only album of Rota's Romeo & Juliet (1968) score a possibility? The dialog album is readily available, but the music only album is hard to find and was only briefly available years ago on a Silva Screen CD. The LP had a generous 50 pllus minutes run time.

Thanks!

Any Rota would be great... Romeo and Juliet and also DEATH ON THE NILE are both fantastic scores and albums pretty much impossible to find.

For me it is hard to believe that this beautiful score is OOP for so many years....

Of course, there is Silva new recording with The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Nic Raine, which is great but there is still place for original recording which is also great performed...

This is one of Nino Rota's masterpieces and its rightful place was amongst the nominees for Best Original Score. (Of course 1968 was a very strong year score-wise with some undisputed classics.)

Some of us have the Cloud Nine release from 1991 with its very beautiful cover:

Good question.

I have both the Capitol LP, SilvaScreen CD and the CloudNine CD.

Money burns a hole in my pocket for a remaster.

Both Quartet Records and Music Box have been releasing Rota releases, hopefully Death on the Nile and Romeo and Juliet will be on their radar!
