Danny Boyle just confirmed he will be doing Bond 25. He directed Daniel Craig and Queen Elizabeth in the Bond segment for the Olympics. And he had David Arnold as music supervisor for the opening and end shows. Very likely to see Arnold back for more Bond, then!?
Boyle also worked with Arnold on his 1997 film "A Life Less Ordinary," though since then he's worked with John Murphy (thrice), A.R. Rahman (twice), Daniel Pemberton, and Angelo Badalamenti, among others. So I wouldn't go so far as to say an Arnold reunion with Boyle and Bond is "very likely." But I suppose more likely than with some other directors.
To be completely honest, Arnold wouldn't be my first choice. But I know some love his work.

Arnold would be my top choice, has been missing for far too long. Pemberton would be a close second. Kraemer and Shearmur would be good choices too.
There are so many composers working out there, a number of which have the abilities to pull off a score for a Bond film. Why must be always go back to Arnold? Or push Newman (for some people)? Sorry , but they are not John Barry (who deserved to come back again and again).
Bond regulars Purvis and Wade are still officially the screenwriters of Bond 25, but if the producers prefer the Boyle script when he hands it in in a few months, he will then become the director.
Boyle isn't confirmed yet. He's just said he's working on a script. If producers Broccoli and Wilson don't like it, he'll pass.

Underworld did the 2012 opening ceremony with Boyle. Arnold did the closing ceremony, which he did beautifully:
Boyle has worked with Underworld a lot, and also John Murphy. But of course Pemberton did his most recent feature to have a score, Steve Jobs.
Maybe people are particularly eager for Arnold's return because for some time now it seems like Bond and Sherlock is the only stuff he scores any more.
I will say that if Arnold *can't* be involved in writing the song, I guess I'd find Pemberton or Kraemer to be more interesting choices, due to their recent fantastic/creative/fresh work in the spy genre.
I think Arnold had run out of ideas for Bond with his last outing, and have said before Kraemer would be a great choice.

People said the same thing about Arnold with Die Another Day and then he writes Casino Royal. Arnold's voice has been missed for far too long.
I'd like to see Kraemer get the job too, however there's too few projects going around for composers like Arnold and Kraemer. In a perfect world Arnold would do Bond or Mission Impossible and Kraemer would score of the project that Arnold wouldn't get.
