Ex Machina was not just one of the best scores of 2015, it is also one of the best electronic scores of the 21st century so far. I hope this one will at least rank as highly and it is one of my most anticipated scores of 2018.

Anyone else here interested in this score?

Extremely excited! I strongly agree with you about Ex Machina, and my hopes are very high for Annihilation as well.

If it’s even a pale reflection of the book, it should do!

Well, in the UK, you're gonna need Netflix to see if it's any good!
I guess we'd better start getting used to this.

"Paramount Pictures Film Written and Directed by Alex Garland and Starring Natalie Portman in Theaters in the U.S. on February 23 and Netflix outside the U.S. from March 12"

Happily we do have Netflix. And Now tv. We saw the writing on the wall. And then realised it wasn’t writing on the wall at all, but the menu on our new telly smile

EX MACHINA is a bonafide masterpiece, and not only my favourite film that year, but also one of my favourite films in the entire 2010s. I like the score too, although not quite as ecstatic. But still enough to trigger my interest for this.

No. Ex Machina is a fantastic movie, and I know many other people who would agree with Thor and myself on that one.

Well, let's do a Thor test, Khan. Do you consider "A.I." to be a masterpiece?

I tend to agree with Thor and Khan. I thought Ex Machina was brilliant.

I've always had a question about the ending of Ex Machina for those who viewed it.
Since the man is trapped in the house with no way to escape, won't he eventually run out of food and die in the house? Am I correct? That is a creepy thought.

I'm excited to see Annihilation, but I can't say I really noticed these composers' scores.

Yes, Joan, I got that impression from the ending, too.

Khan, glad to know I'm not alone. Creepy!! And if I remember correctly, that man wasn't the really bad villain. (Been a while since I viewed the film.)

That's also correct.

Yes, Joan, I got that impression from the ending, too.

Yup. Thirded. It's the ultimate ironic demise -- the machine robbing him of his life merely by using our basic biological needs against him.

Can’t wait for the 2xCD (!) score to be released! Saw the movie last night and the electronic soundscapes and musical-tinged effects were right up my alley. And the film itself is absolutely brilliant!
