Yikes! Missed this yesterday.
This legend is still with us.
I'll let others put his STAR TREK, MAN FROM UNCLE and Stanley Kubrick scores up.
Gerry, thanks for all the music and particularly:

And from last year:

Always liked his stuff. Love Too Late the Hero.
Well done for reaching that grand age.

That friggin' "Unbelievable!!!!!" movie recently shoe-horned in a new bit character played by some rapper who is getting an "executive director" credit. So, presumably new scoring will be required. What a pointless bonehead move.

At this rate I'll never get to hear the score.

And let's not forget those vampire feature films he scored for Arthur Gardener, Jules Levy and Arnold Laven ("The Vampire", "The Return Of Dracula") and for producer Robert Aldrich (and directed by Lee Katzin, with a helping from Bernard Girard), "What Ever Happened To Aunt Alice?" (for my money the best chamber score for a horror film) which I like to see on C.D. We can be grateful he saved the acetates and master tapes for the first two features films plus "The Cabinet Of Caligari" on that wonderful F.S.M. set that came out nearly 20 years ago. Happy Belated Birthday Gerald Fried!!!!!
