Recently, my mind thought about Florent Schmitt's music for the 1925 silent film Salammbô. Never saw or heard it. I will search the classical budget bin for this one! This recording was rereleased by RCA in 2008. It's wonderful music, but I kind of doubt that it'll conform with your notion of exotica. But maybe it will. It's currently available in an excellent (and inexpensive) box set called "Masterworks Of The Late 19th Century In France" along with compositions by Debussy, Roussel, Bizet, Bruneau, Fauré, Franck, Massenet, and Saint-Saëns. Jacques Mercier conducts the Orchestre National d'Ile de France.

I would consider some music by Ravel, Debussy, and Stravinsky to generally qualify as "exotica" - all three were big influences on Les Baxter - so it may fit the bill. I will see if it is on the intertubes.
