Believe it or not, I don't have a full release of this rich Golden Age score. I have been content with my Chandos release of The Sea Wolf/The Adventures of Robin Hood. I would like to look beyond a compilation album.

Any thoughts?

As always with this score, my first recommendation is the Kojian/Utah Symphony recording on Varese, produced by George Korngold – one of the best re-recordings I've heard, along with the outstanding The Sea Hawk CD by the same team.
Stromberg/Naxos recorded the complete score, and that's worth having too, but if choosing only one, the Kojian is a great disc.

I am still rather amazed there's never been an official, complete release of the original tracks from 'Adventures of Robin Hood', 'The Prince and the Pauper' or 'The Sea Hawk'. Perhaps the 'Robin Hood' possibility was pre-empted by all the 'isolated music' tracks on the DVD's and blu-rays. (No doubt many have made their own 'complete' version at home by now!) But still, why not a legitimate, complete nicely mastered release?. The 'unmentionable' discs have been floating around for years and that also might be why no one's particularly interested in the project(s) - or is there some licensing issue - or is it just that sales are not expected to worth the effort, etc. etc.? I know that despite all the 'versions' and non-official editions available, I'd shell out for an official, licensed edition.
