So the trailer is out, and it looks like the movie drops in China on February 16. I can't find any details on the composer - but it shows on IMDB that Christopher Young is still attached {I really hope this is the case!].

Apparently this is the official "Ending" song by Henry Lau of the upcoming film:

Fingers crossed Young is still attached. His scores for the first two films are fantastic!

The movie posters credit Christopher Yound.

Who's obviously the Engrish brother of Christopher Young.

Thanks for that, now I'm very excited for this soundtrack!

Younder brother or older brother? smile

If it is Christopher Young, that's quite a relief. The first two were so good I was/am very eager to hear his developments for the third score.

I tried watching the first movieā€¦ it was a bit too histrionic for my taste.

Wasn't there an interview or something not long ago in which Young said he hadn't been asked back for this one?

I hope I'm wrong/they changed their minds.

Maybe they just edited and adapted his music from the first two films into this one?
It's cheaper for them and it's what George Lucas ended up doing with the SW prequels wink

Maybe the posters I saw were fake. That's also an option.

Yeah, that's what I recall as well. I hope he's back as his scores are amazing.

And Young is not the composer:

Fudge.

Not a reflection on the composer who is scoring the film, I was just hoping to hear Young develop his themes further.

On the bright side, if they make a fourth, Young (or Yound...) maybe have a chance.

I was on the fence of purchasing this one when it came out. I do enjoy the last two, but I am getting more choosy on my buys lately. So I will use the excuse that it is not Christopher Young to keep me away from this one.

Very disappointing news. Young doesn't get enough projects as it is, let alone ones that let him go nuts with big orchestra and thematic beauty.

Yeah, this is a disappointment. The first two scores are some of my favorites of the last decade.

What a wasted opportunity. The composer is a voice actress and singer! Says it all. The filmmakers obviously didn't have a clue as to what Christopher Young musically gave the first two films. They probably wanted to save money. What a joke.
