Nuestro compañero Óscar Salazar tuvo la ocasión de hablar con Godwin Borg el fundador de Kronos Records, un sello independiente especializado en música de cine.
I suspected Godwin is Maltese. You don't pronounce his surname the same way you would The Borg from Star Trek. You start off with a hard 'B' but the rest sounds like the name "George," so it's like saying "Borge" but without the 'e' on the end.
It's been quite amazing to see Kronos coming back for more in the face of what must be difficult circumstances.
Fantastic interview. I must say Mr. Borg is the nicest man/person in the world. He has been very kind to me over the years and I have (I should count) a "plethora" of his releases from composers old and new. He has given us some amazing Stelvio Cipriani releases and turned me onto Alexander Cimini- a perfect gentleman as well, Joris Hermy- same and put out the EPIC: Salome by the great Egisto Macchi who is another favorite of mine. Not to mention the must own LION WOMAN by Uno Helmerrsson.
One of the only things I miss about not having a Facebook account anymore is connecting and talking with Godwin Borg and some of the other great folks I have met: Cimini and Hermy, Chad Cannon and guys like Lokutus and Daniel Schweiger.
