I'm trying to give Wahlberg the benefit of the doubt, because it's entirely possible that this whole greasy issue was carried out by his handlers and he's trying to make it right. I'm probably wrong; who knows?
But I think the donation thing is a little sanctimonious and using the movement as a way of shielding himself against their possible scrutiny in the future (which is probably an inevitability).

And here's the thing, he's probably a decent guy and all--but I have a little trouble seeing past that whole attempted murder issue.

Nice try, but Mark Wahlberg isn't off the hook until he donates $1.5 million to me.

I saw ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD this week. Wahlberg had a lot more screen time with replacement star Christopher Plummer than did Michelle Williams. So, on the re-shoot at least, he put in a lot more time than she did. Having said that, it's beyond obvious that Williams was cheated.

Ooh! Why didn't I think of that??
Damn!

Thinking back, it turns out there were a couple of things I enjoyed him in.
One was "Four Brothers" and the other was "The Departed ".
The latter especially--it's Scorsese, you can't go wrong; and it would still have been a great flick without Marky.

I enjoy some of his movies. He is a commodity with a limited lifespan. He will run his course like every "star". good for him to get paid for retakes. He must have a good manager to get that in his contract. Make the money while you can and have no regrets.
