It seems odd to think about it now, but Alan Silvestri's score for Delta Force sold out in mere minutes once upon a time. That theme gets used more than Chuck Norris' arsenal in the film.

Scores from the 90's (and a couple in late 80s and a few in the first half of 2000s) are still of my favorites, and are also of the few ones I also still enjoy listen to.

Backdraft, Crimson Tide, The Rock, Broken Arrow, Armageddon. And, although not all of them directly action scores, Rain Man, Bird On A Wire, Cool Runnings, Beyond Rangoon, Prince Of Egypt, The Man In The Iron Mask.

I consider things like The Rock and Broken Arrow (and Armageddon) perhaps to be of the "ultimate" action score(s). But not to long ago, when I've checked out more of the older Zimmer stuff I didn't know so good before, I was a bit surprised of how much of Broken Arrow you could hear in for instance Point Of No Return. Another score that have great (and simple, in a good way) themes. Like Rain Man, Bird On A Wire, Days Of Thunder, Green Card, Cool Runnings, Regarding Henry, etc.

Awesome to see some love for Crimson Tide! That and The Rock are my two most wanted Hans Zimmer and Nick Glennie-Smith collaborated scores in a remaster and expansion. To have a presentation of chronological order with modern sound would suit me just fine, for both.
