I think I've bought fewer new releases over the past year or two than at any other time. The focus of the major labels now seems to be on 80s-90s-00s. My most recent purchases include: La Dolce Vita - Nino Rota The Hustler - Kenyon Hopkins People Meet and Sweet Music Fills the Heart - K. Komeda Two for the Road - Henry Mancini I guess that most of the stuff I care about has either come out by now or probably never will. I would love to see reissues of some titles I missed out on the first time. Which titles you lost, and would like to 'see' again?? I have a list of some titles/CDs still missing me (last week I almost bought the 'Mussolini' on Ebay, but the delivery rate with tracking number was extremely high for my country): Laurence Rosenthal - Mussolini The Untold Story Intrada Elmer Bernstein - McQ FSM Franz Waxman - The Spirit Of St. Louis Varese Gerald Fried - Too Late The Hero FSM Jerry Goldsmith - Sebastian Intrada John Addison - A Bridge Too Far Kritzerland Maurice Jarre - The Collector Mainstream Maurice Jarre - The Professionals Silva Screen Maurice Jarre - The Night Of The Generals Intrada

Releases? It seems like we are even getting to the end of 60s and 70s threads!

No. 3 of the 5 Black Friday titles we released were either from the 60s or 70s. Of the 35 releases we did last year, 11 of them were from eras other than 80s to today. That's 30% of the release slate. I'm sure if you looked at other labels they have the same ratio or more. Stop whining. Also, all the labels have stuff from those eras in currently in production. Jeez MV

Whether it was your intention or not, OnyaBirri, I can certainly see how MV would take this as another "Woe is me" post, the sorts we see fairly often around here. This is not an accusation! But there has always been a tendency around here for people to start threads where a perceived release trend leads a poster here to declare "Welp, that's it, nothing ever for me ever again!" Well, people can take my posts however they like, and that's OK by me. We are, after all, just a bunch of disembodied electrons here. But I know what I was asking. I have also re-worded my initial question, lest someone accidentally thinks I am referring to John Williams or Stephen Spielberg when I say "70s." Also, if we are running out of cool stuff to release, that is fine too. I recently moved, and realized that I have way too many LPs and CDs. I am being much more selective now.

What an incredibly snippy response from La La Land. You know I know there are a few trolls around here but almost everyone defends these labels (with the exception of Varese) to the death. Would La La Land really say that to a potential customer over the phone or in person? Wow.

Personal life aside, the original poster is one of the biggest trolls on this site. He is one of a 6 people on the La La Land Ignore list and has been on it for a few years. His original posting, which at the time I didn't realize he posted and was seen only because someone responded to it, was just plain and simple whining. It's totally unnecessary and factually inaccurate. In truth, I should have never responded to it because it was something I wasn't supposed to see. However, I did respond to it and stand 100% by my words. It's a new year and I feel that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! STOP THE WHINING AND AT LEAST HAVE FACTS TO BACK IT UP! MV PS Who are you? I have never seen you post on this site before. I looked you up and you rarely have posted in 7 years.
