Too bad we didn't see this when it was published, presumably in the Arts section. Then we could have written to show them the error of their ways and set the record(s) straight. In recent years, however, for no known reason, the Times' Sunday Arts & Leisure section has stopped running a Letters section, virtually assuring that, at least where the arts are concerned, the "Newspaper of Record" has no accountability. Occasionally, a matter of fact will be addressed in the little Corrections section, but no disagreements with the Times' arguments has an outlet any more.
