I see many companies don't have email support anymore. They either want you to call or do a live chat.
Half the time when I try live chat the chat function doesn't work. Probably because of my pop up blockers, but yeah not going to disabled them for a random chat.
Half the time when I call, I'm talking to someone I can barely understand because they don't speak English. Or I'm in telephone prompt hell because the option I need isn't offered, and I have to go around in circles until I can figure out how to go directly to a live person on the other end.
Email was always the easiest and most efficient way of communicating. Takes seconds to send a message. Sooner rather than later I usually got a response. I'm not stuck on either my computer or phone dealing with all the hassles that come with phone calls and chats.
On the other, positive, hand, I somehow messed up my 30% off at SAE yesterday and realized it after I got a copy of my order. So I emailed them last night and Katie responded this morning and resolved it. So SAE and Katie are terrific at email support.
Yeah, I just tried online chat with two different browsers on two different computers and it won't work. I've wasted an hour of my morning on phone calls I couldn't understand, and non-chats.
But it's good because it's like the old days before computers and we sent Christmas cards and we had to buy them and go to the post office not like today when click Merry Christmas as if everyone is your friend.
